I first tried pottery in 2020 after having to pack up my life and move back home to East Sussex. It sounds cliché  but from my first lesson, Pottery was the thing that I didnt realise I needed during a very uncertain and scary time. I found a huge amount of peace and clarity in using my hands as tools. In the past I had kept my ADHD a secret and desperatly masked the symptoms to fit into society. For the first time I allowed myself to jump from project to project without self judgement. In a way that channels my energy into something that feels healing in the process. To have a product at the end is a bonus. I accept that my process isnt for everybody, and thats why they sell ceramics in B&M.

Each piece I build, fuse, mend and fire holds a piece of myself within it. The process starts by creating intention. and each item is made individually. Drying and the first firing in the kiln transform raw materials into durable ceramics. Glazing adds both aesthetic appeal and further functionality. The final firing transforms all elements into a durable, finished piece ready to be carefully picked by you and treasured in your home.
